4 CHEAP Massages In Johor Bahru (JB) You Can’t Go Wrong With

Every Singaporean knows that massages is a luxury in Singapore. It’s the norm to pay around SGD60 for an hour of massage here and as much as I love massages, I just can’t bear to part with that kind of money. The silver lining is that Johor Bahru is just 5 minutes away by train and massages can be as cheap as just SGD20 😉

If you were just thinking “WHAATTTT” in your head, read on!

#1. Bangkok Spa

The one thing I like most about Bangkok Spa is that they because they provide pick-up and drop-off services from shopping malls, hotels and more! Rates are quite reasonable too:

– Foot massage (60 mins): RM53
– Traditional Thai massage (60 mins): RM62

They have 2 branches (one at Pelangi and another at Sri Tebrau) and reservations can be made via Whatsapp. If you intend to drive, you can let them know beforehand so they can reserve parking space for you too!

7 days a week, from 11am until 5am.
Closed on CNY Eve

#2. Thai Odyssey

It won’t be difficult to find Thai Odyssey because they have PLENTY of branches – especially at all major shopping malls. Although the prices are a little on the steep side, you are definitely paying for a different class of service. My masseuse was really attentive and the whole session was quiet, relaxing and heavenly.

– Foot massage (60 mins): RM82.70, incl GST
– Traditional Thai massage (60 mins): RM125.10, incl GST

You would think that there wouldn’t be any problem getting a slot since it costs so much more than the rest right? Wrong. I did a walk-in at 2pm and was told that the next slot is only at  7pm. So, make your reservations once you’ve arrived at the shopping mall so you don’t have to wait to so long!

Locations and opening hours:
There are too many branches so you should check out their website (http://thaiodyssey.com/outlets) instead.

#3. Eminent Reflexology (皇足轩)

We stumbled upon this when we were trying to find a parking lot around AEON Bukit Indah! Wanted to drop our car at a car wash area but was told that they are affiliated to the Eminent Reflexology and every massage = free car wash. We needed a massage at that point so it was perfect. For those who prefer traditional Chinese massage to Thai massage, you may want to consider this place:

– Foot reflexology (60 mins): RM46
– Traditional Chinese massage (60 mins): RM88

Plus, you get to enjoy free flow of light snacks after your massage too! P/S: They recently opened a new branch at Sutera and is offering free transportation services too.

Opening hours:
7 days a week, from 11am until 1am.

Kaki Kaki is very similar to Eminent Reflexology as they specialize in Chinese medicine/massage – the only difference is that Kaki Kaki is a LOT bigger. They have over 60 branches in Johor alone (e.g. Mount Austin, Bukit Indah, Sri Tebrau, etc) so this is the place to go if you have no time to make reservations!

– Foot reflexology (60 mins): RM43
– Traditional Chinese massage (60 mins): RM64

You can also enjoy free flow of light snacks after the massage & if you like to end off your massage with a suana/Jacuzzi session, you’ll be in a for a treat.

My parents think I travel too much but if not now, then when? New experiences excite me the most and that's why I rarely visit the same city twice unless (a) they have awesome food and (b) they have awesome food.
