Ruan Thip is a strong contender for having the best Thai food in Krabi. The menu serves traditional southern Thai food which of course involves using southern style curry – made with paste heavy with dry chillies and a dose of coconut cream. The restaurant is huge and almost full house always, though they never compromised on quality. In fact, it is listed as one of the most consistently good Thai restaurants in Krabi!

Nong Joke is a second-generation restaurant. It first begun as a small market street food stall selling Thai curry and rice. It got very popular and business grew. The restaurant almost disappeared with time, but thank goodness Joke (nickname of the son of the founder) decided to take over his dad’s business to preserve the legacy of his family business serving good southern Thai food, cooked using his family recipes.
